Azuki Announces Elementals Collection at Las Vegas Event

Over the past year, Azuki’s path to NFT prominence has been filled with unrivaled hype and in-depth lore. An undoubtedly influential blue-chip collection; while at times, holders have felt that things have been slow-going, an exciting new chapter of Azuki has officially arrived.

While the Azuki ecosystem has been subject to a variety of unique expansions in the past, this latest initiative may be the most sizable to date. During a highly-anticipated “Follow the Rabbit” event held on the night of June 23 at Hakkasan Las Vegas, Azuki co-founder Zagabond announced the forthcoming Azuki Elementals collection in familiar fashion.

Azuki Elementals announced

Slated as a night of celebration and fanfare, Follow the Rabbit came with the connotation that something big was on the horizon. And luckily, attendees didn’t have to wait long for Zagabond to spill the details. “Check your motherf***ing wallets,” he declared against a red backdrop in a video reminiscent of the one preceding the Beanz announcement, sending cheering attendees scrambling to follow suit.

Spanning four different “domains” and rarity tiers, Elementals is a sister collection to the original cast of 10,000 Azuki NFTs. Featuring 20,000 tokens in total, the forthcoming endeavor will go up for sale on June 27, and all Azkui and Beanz holders will receive presale access at 9 am PT the same day.

But that’s not all, because, during the Follow the Rabbit, all Azuki holders gained early access to the impending launch, each receiving an airdrop of an unrevealed and locked Elemental that will only become accessible for transfer following the June 27 Elementals sale. Additionally, all Azuki and Beanz holders were airdropped a Soulbound Token (SBT) called an “Elemental Chip” to commemorate the event.

Given the high-profile nature of this upcoming drop, those hoping to participate will want to take precautions to keep themselves and their assets safe. Reiterating the importance of robust wallet and account security, Azuki reminded it’s followers on Twitter to be wary of bad actors and always verify information before taking action.

“Leading up to the mint, it is crucial to stay vigilant during a period where phishing links and scams disguised as Azuki will be on the rise,” Azuki wrote in a tweet. “Your security is top priority for us. Below are some tips to stay safe.”

Launched in January 2022, Azuki has been hailed for persevering in the midst of a bear market and even overcoming controversy to emerge as one of the most successful PFP projects in the NFT space. The Elementals mint will surely be a pivotal point for the Azuki ecosystem, with its ripples felt throughout the NFT space. At the time of publication, the project’s floor price sits just above 15 ETH ($28,500).
