$PEPE Multisig Mysteriously Transfers Out 16 Trillion Tokens, Investors Concerned

Investors of the popular meme coin, $PEPE, were (understandably) alarmed on Thursday after millions of dollars worth of $PEPE were suddenly transferred to crypto exchanges, including Binance, OKX, and Bybit. Interestingly, this incident marked the first instance in which the project’s essential multi-sig wallet participated in sending out PEPE tokens.  Thursday’s sudden surge of over 16 trillion $PEPE tokens naturally created apprehension among investors, also causing a subsequent drop in its trading price. This strangely followed what appears to be an even more alarming phenomenon – changing the number of required crypto wallets required to “sign off” on a transaction […]

On April 18th, 2020, when business and consumer morale were low at the height of the pandemic, tech titan Marc Andreessen published a blog post whose title deployed four poignant words: It’s time to build. The corresponding article criticized the United States for its poor preparation for a worldwide pandemic, chalking it up to the country’s lack of desire to “build” the infrastructure and physical footprints needed to withstand such a sudden black swan event. The post ends by encouraging all readers to build because it’s the only way to “honor the legacy of our forefathers and foremothers and to […]

For years, releasing an artist’s work posthumously was a point of contention among fans, critics, and collectors. Both critical acclaim and enthusiastic embrace of loyal communities have met classic creatives like Hemingway and Van Gogh and modern-day musicians like Mac Miller and Pop Smoke. Not so for posthumous releases from Harper Lee and John Lennon — which were met with derision and criticism. Now, as new technologies and art forms emerge, many estates are exploring NFTs and the blockchain to pay tribute to the life and legacy of deceased legends.  According to OneOf CEO Lin Dai, posthumous NFT collections unlock […]

This latest market crash has produced one of the most elaborate memes we’ve seen to date: Goblintown. Aside from these main facts, there’s not much currently known about the project. That said, here’s a guide to everything we know — and you need to know — about the Goblintown NFT project. What we know so far Goblintown’s site URL (which ends in […]

The Best NFT Market Crash Memes

The NFT market is currently loaded with 3Ms: money, media attention, and memes. Well, maybe not so much of that first one at the moment. The NFT ecosystem is a lot like the stock market. It has ups, and it has downs. Sadly, we are currently in the midst of a bit of a down — which is why it’s always important to never invest more than you can afford to lose. But there is a bright side. When money goes down, the memes go up.  When news related to a dip in NFT sales starts circulating, the internet becomes […]
