The Alpha Chiru Labs, the Web3 company best known for being the parent company of popular NFT collections Azuki and Beanz, has announced a strategic partnership with digital IP platform company IPX (formerly Line Friends). Line Friends — similar to the IP of Hello Kitty and Friends — features a world of cute original characters, including Brown the bear, Cony the rabbit, and Sally the chick. The characters were originally created as stickers for Line users to use in their chats. Fans and holders can expect co-branded content and merch between Beanz and LINE Friends, retail distribution at Line Friends […]
Uncovering Nakamigos: The Origins, Rumors, and What We Know So Far
The Nakamigos NFT project is raising eyebrows in the Web3 community. After coming onto the scene with a March 23 public mint, the collection took only four days to surpass NFT giant Bored Ape Yacht Club in lifetime trades and has done 5,423 ETH (nearly $6 million) in trading volume on the secondary market at the time of writing. The collection’s success arguably rests on two things, neither of which fail to spark interest in Web3 spheres: the proven track record of its founder and the wildly-speculative intrigue of the project’s origin and associations. Here, we take a look at […]
Exclusive: DeGods’ Kevin III Talks Bitcoin Branch, y00ts Future
In the past year, DeGods has defied expectations to become the ultimate NFT comeback story. Born on Solana, the large-scale PFP endeavor and its counterpart, y00ts, have continued to drive conversation surrounding the cross-chain compatibility of generative avatars while simultaneously planning to branch over to Ethereum and Polygon, respectively. Now, DeGods has decided to take its multi-chain endeavors a sizeable step further by bridging a select set of NFTs from the original Solana collection over to Bitcoin as Ordinals Inscriptions. Dubbed “DeGods on Bitcoin,” this latest venture will introduce a first-of-its-kind minting experience on Bitcoin and is said by Dust […]

As time goes on, you’ll definitely see these unique characters more and more frequently. Unlike most NFT projects that have a set number of supply before mint, Nouns is an infinite work of art. Valhalla: The NFT Project Promising to Make Web3’s Version of Twitch
Valhalla and its team may have bitten off more than they can chew. The NFT project’s ambitious goals include creating a platform that can rival Twitch. However, despite the enormity of this task, the project has already shown promise. It had a successful mint that quickly sold out, and the project has had more than 23,000 ETH in total sales volume. If that doesn’t sound promising enough, the project was created by Stacked Studios, an LA-based startup with a stated goal of building web3 products to become one of the largest crypto companies in the world. So far, the company […]
When NFT Projects Die: Lessons From Web3 Failures
The Web3 community knows that situations can turn on a dime. From the fall of FTX to Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover, it has become clear that market volatility isn’t the only thing to be worried about. And all it takes is just one tiny event to set off a chain reaction throughout the NFT space. Oftentimes, this can be a positive thing, like Jack Butcher’s Checks changing the trajectory of open editions. On the other hand, events like February’s demise of the Friendsies collection can mean the inevitable spread of fear throughout the metaverse. Although the NFT space enjoyed a […]
Taproot Wizards: A Guide to the Fastest-Growing Bitcoin Ordinals Project
At the start of 2023, with Ordinals Inscriptions growing in popularity daily, it seemed every collector worth their salt was out to cash in on the Bitcoin NFT craze. While most turned their attention to CryptoPunks, OnChainMonkey, and other Ethereum-native projects bridging over to the world’s oldest blockchain, one Bitcoin-centric endeavor emerged to establish a new narrative around digital artifacts. Helmed by an independent developer and longtime Bitcoin advocate, Taproot Wizards (TW) entered not only as the new kid on the Ordinals block but with a mission to become much more than just another generative avatar project. Carrying the tagline […]

The Alpha: Reddit’s Collectible Avatars (which are definitely not NFTs) are back. After teasing their release last week, the social media platform dropped the Super Bowl LVII x Reddit Collectible Avatar collection yesterday in collaboration with the NFL. The NFTs are free and, like Reddit’s previous drops, provide owners with unique benefits on the platform. Users can choose between four types of NFTs to mint: an Eagles, Chiefs, The Champs, or LVII Super Fans collectible. Redditors are limited to minting one per account. So far, more than 651,800 of the avatars have been minted. Currently, the collection has a floor […]
BAYC’s Kennel Club Explained: Furry Friends for Bored Apes
In June 2021, Yuga Labs announced it would provide even more value for holders of the illustrious Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs via a completely free NFT airdrop. A month later, in July 2021, the Bored Ape faithful finally learned what those NFTs would end up being: furry friends for their Bored Apes. Much like how Larva Labs gave holders of its seminal CryptoPunks collection complementary NFTs in the Meebits collection, Yuga Labs would reward its holders with a free complementary NFT. Free, save for gas fees needed to mint the NFTs, of course. Bored Ape Kennel Club #8800 — […]
5 NFTs People Have Minted Onto Their Skin
Since at least 2017, communities have rallied around NFT projects across the entire space, as seen with the explosion in popularity the CryptoPunks community and others enjoyed IRL, in the form of in-person community meetups and events. But for others, projects have inspired so much love in some members’ hearts that they’ve decided to represent their favorite NFTs IRL permanently — with tattoos. Considering the recent rise of NFTs existing in our physical world, it’s no surprise that enthusiasts have taken to using NFTs they own, or simply just like a lot, in a profoundly personal way. After all, what could be […]
